Zagreb to Split with Plitvice Lakes National Park Driver Guide Tour

Morning departure from Zagreb, Pick up at the place of your accommodation at 8.00 /8.30  am. We will start our drive towards Plitvice Lakes National Park, the world’s natural heritage that is on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1979. After 2 hours of drive, We arrive at Rastoke – an idyllic water mill village. It has similar natural phenomena occurring as do the Plitvice Lakes thus it is often referred to as “the Small Lakes of Plitvice”. The village found its place at the foot of the 19th century Napoleon’s army Magazine (storage) since the area of Rastoke was the eastern border part of Napoleon’s Empire. It has an important autochthonous ecologic and ethnographic legacy. After a shortstop and time for coffee, we arrive in the park. Inside the park, We will walk along the majestic string of sixteen cascaded lakes connected with beautiful waterfalls. The tour of the National Park will take approximately 3 hours and will include hiking along both upper and lower lakes, a boat ride over the big lake and a train ride through park area at the end. 

After the tour of Plitvice Lakes, You are going to enjoy a traditional local lunch in one of the local restaurants. You will enjoy the stunning countryside landscape and local homemade folk-cuisine specialties together with excellent local wines! Following the lunch, we are continuing the trip towards Split and expected to arrive in Split at 6.00 pm.
