Your journey begins with meeting your driver at the given hotel or private accommodation address in Zagreb. Together with our private driver from Zagreb to Zadar, we have an introduction to the area’s history and the itinerary for the day. After 1 hour of driving, we arrive at Rastoke. Idyllic watermill village is often called “the Small Lakes of Plitvice (Optional stop, vignette to be paid at the spot)”. The village found its place at the foot of the 19th-century Napoleon’s army Magazine (storage). Visit Rastoke Village for up to 1 hour – additional 35 EUR (price per vehicle, not per person). After a short stop and time for coffee, we continue to Plitvice.
When you arrive at Plitvice Lakes, your driver will be leaving you at the park entrance, where you will meet your local guide (if you choose to have one for additional cost), and your 3-hour adventure starts from there. Indeed, Plitvice Lakes are the world’s natural heritage and have been on the UNESCO List since 1979. We will walk along the majestic string of sixteen cascaded lakes connected with beautiful waterfalls inside the park. The tour of the park will take approximately 3 hours. It will include hiking along both upper and lower lakes, a boat ride over the big lake, and train ride through the park area at the end. Don’t miss seeing “Veliki Slap”, the highest waterfall in the Plitvice National Park, 78 meters high.
You can enjoy a “traditional tasting menu” at your own expense while visiting the Museum of Bura Wind. Located in the heart of Zadar’s hinterland, the Gastro Museum Bura offers an unforgettable journey through the region’s history, culture, and flavors. Next to an old bauxite mine, guests can partake in a 60-minute guided tour exploring authentic local specialties. This includes delicacies such as prosciutto, pancetta, Pag cheese, wine, brandy, and liqueurs. After a light lunch, we will continue our trip towards Zadar, where we expect to arrive by 4:00 pm. The price of tasting menu is additional 55 EUR per person.
