When traveling from Zagreb to Split, Plitvice Lakes National park is the perfect stop to make on the route. Meet your driver at your hotel or private accommodation address in Zagreb. The distance between Zagreb, Plitvice Lakes and Split is 450 km. With our professional driver guide, you can relax and focus on sightseeing. After 1 hour of driving, We arrive at Rastoke, often referred to as “the Small Lakes of Plitvice”. The village found its place at the foot of the 19th-century Napoleon’s army Magazine (storage). The area of Rastoke was the eastern border part of Napoleon’s Empire. After a short stop for coffee, we continue to Plitvice.
Furthermore, we continue to Plitvice Lakes. The national park consists of 16 lakes, which are stepwise and descend into one another. Upon arrival in the park, we meet our local guide and start the tour inside (if you choose to have one). The tour of the park will take approximately 4 hours. Will include hiking along both upper and lower lakes, a boat ride over the big lake and a train ride through the park area at the end. Don’t miss seeing “Veliki Slap”, the highest waterfall in the Plitvice National Park, 78 meters high. This private transfer is available for booking year-round.
