First, in the morning, we will start with the pick up at the place of your accommodation in Split. The drive from Split to Dubrovnik is around 2 and half hours. With our driver guide, you’ll feel like you left Split a minute ago. Our final destination is Dubrovnik, Croatia’s most tourist place. Next, meet your local guide and start with a sightseeing tour of the city, known as ”the Pearl of the Adriatic”. With a local guide in the lead, you’ll visit Dubrovnik Cathedral, the Rector’s Palace, the Franciscan Monastery, Sponza Palace. The most famous feature is its city walls, considered the world’s most spectacular. Feel free to climb the stairs to the walls that allow you to walk around the Old town for a stunning view of the famous red tile roofs and the sea. Finally, Dubrovnik is yours to discover!
Following the tour in Dubrovnik, we continue toward the Pelješac Peninsula, also called the “Croatian Empire of Wine”. Relaxing ride with our driver in the lead to our first stopover, Ston. Famous for the longest stone wall in Europe (5.5 km), salt cultivation farming, and oyster growing farms since Roman times. Oysters are acknowledged as natural aphrodisiacs and made this region world-famous. They are sometimes referred to as the “European Walls of China”. Following extensive renovations, the walls were open to visitors. Moreover, interesting are the ancient salt pans that were in use during the Dubrovnik Republic more than 700 years ago. Salt is still produced here. Refreshed after lunch in a local restaurant, we are continuing the trip towards Split and expected to arrive at Split at 6.00 pm.
After time in the city, we continue our trip to the village of Mali Ston, where we will meet our friend and fisherman Dubo. Indeed, you can relax on a private boat and enjoy the finest oysters in Croatia. They will be matched with homemade wine too. Let your experienced guide immerse you in the history and culture of this area and explain to you about oyster farming in Croatia. The panoramic boat cruise fee is not included in the tour price. Alternatively, you can confirm this trip once you meet our driver-guide in the morning on the day of the tour; approx. €35.00 (HRK 260.00) per person in April, May, June, July, August, September & October
